Q: What is the difference between the Standard Edition and the Advanced Edition?
A: The Standard Edition covers core wayfinding functions: an interactive map, POI search, facility locator, mechanical arm guidance, and basic bilingual (Chinese/English) support. The Advanced Edition adds AI voice query, one-key GPS navigation with arm synchronization, real-time visitor positioning, 5-language support, WeChat Mini Program QR sync, one-key SOS, and area announcement publishing. Most scenic area and museum clients choose the Advanced Edition or Full Suite.
Q: How does the mechanical arm direction system work?
A: Each signboard terminal is fitted with up to three independently motorized arms. When a visitor selects or speaks a destination, the system calculates the optimal heading from that terminal's known location and rotates the corresponding arm to face that direction. Simultaneously, the LED strip on the arm displays an arrow, destination label, and approximate distance. A chime sound indicates which arm number has activated. The arm angles are pre-configured and calibrated during installation using the backend management platform.
Q: Does the system require an internet connection to function?
A: Core navigation, map display, and POI search operate from locally cached data, making the terminal functional even during brief connectivity interruptions. An active network connection (Wi-Fi or 4G LTE) is required for real-time announcements, weather updates, remote CMS management, and WeChat Mini Program QR sync. The companion Mini Program supports offline map download so visitors can continue navigating on mobile without continuous data.

A: Yes. Yingmi provides full UI customization including brand color schemes, logo placement, and interface typography. Additionally, a custom hand-drawn illustrated map (a popular choice for scenic areas and theme parks) can be created to your venue's exact layout and visual style - subject to the separate map illustration process, which includes survey data collection, draft review, and up to three revision rounds before final delivery.
Q: What languages are supported and can additional languages be added?
A: The Advanced Edition includes Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean as standard. Additional languages including French, German, Spanish, Arabic, and others can be added as a customization. All translated content - map labels, POI names, navigation prompts, and AI voice responses - must be provided or reviewed by the client before deployment to ensure accuracy.
